Weekly Wrap Up Thursday Day 628

dd-07042013This weekly wrap up looks really bad at first glance- I have 49 weekly Points+ to be used at any time and I used 74 of them? But its not as bad as that. I also earned 32 activity points this week, so really its more like I used 42 of them. Still, I did not want to eat all my APs, and this week was pretty much a bust. Today was not good on food, mainly because we attended a 4th of July potluck at Mayflower Gardens, and there was a lot of food. Probably half of what I ate was fresh fruits and vegetables, but there were also a hot dog, a brat and a hot link thrown in there that really racked up the P+. I was supposed to get in a workout after we got home but Mattie refused to give up the TV even though he said he wasn’t going to use it so I got screwed there and my gym closed before we even left the potluck because of the holiday.

The dinner was nice though because everyone was friendly, there was no drama or bullshit, and no one was drinking. I did have an amusing conversation with someone though, and I had to bite my tongue to avoid what could have been an uncomfortable conversation following it.

Older woman: You two are just boyfriend and girlfriend, right? You’re not married?
Me: Yes, boyfriend and girlfriend.
Older woman: I was going to ask if you had kids but you’re not married and we know that just isn’t possible!

I had to bite my tongue to avoid saying something smart-assy in response…  Apparently we traveled back in time several decades and I was unaware until that moment.

Everyone who attended the potluck seemed to have a good time, and some of the people who weren’t able to come still sent food along with others, and several were sent plates so they could still partake in the food everyone brought. We headed home about 7pm, as we new people in our neighborhood would be setting of fireworks and our dogs are terrified of them so we waned to be home with them to hopefully keep them calm. Lucy oddly enough did better than Sasha and just wanted to be close to us while Sash whimpered and fussed on and off until we went to bed.

I’m getting this post up late, I know, but I am really hoping the new week will be much better than this last week was!
